It always feels bittersweet to close the chapter on Summer! I spent the weekend at the beach in Long Island, a Ghia-Soda in hand, cozied up with close friends. I hope you’ve also had a chance to rest, recharge, or steal a lazy afternoon before the busier rhythm of September sets in.

Back-to-school season has always felt like a reset button to me—January starts with a bang over here, but September is a chance to reflect, set intentions, and recalibrate. In that spirit, here are a few things I’m loving lately that feel perfectly aligned with balance and fresh starts:

Zebra Striping Your Drinks: A friend recently introduced me to zebra striping—alternating between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It’s such a simple way to build lasting rituals. From the beginning, Ghia has been about moderation, not restriction, and this feels like a perfect little expression of that balance.
Less Doom-Scrolling, More Real Life: I recently listened to the Taylor / Travis podcast and loved her take on fueling creativity: she stays off social media and focuses on things that bring real joy—like baking sourdough instead of doom-scrolling. A great reminder that balance isn’t just about work or wellness, and that there are many ways to fill up your cup!
Home-Cooked Balance: I took the last of summer fruits and made a crisp, or “crumble” as we call them in France. The topping is just coconut sugar, almond flour, organic flour, oats, and very cold butter crumbled to a deliciously, crackly crust.

That said, if you’re stocking your fridge this fall, subscriptions are still the easiest (and best-value) way to keep Ghia on hand without having to think about it. Having Ghia on hand also keeps me on track when there’s last minute plans!
